Evaluations
At FIRST STEP, we are absolutely committed to guiding parents through the step-by-step process of helping their child receive the services that he/she may need.
The evaluation process may include some or all of the following:
- Social History
- Medical/Physical
- Psychological Evaluation
- Educational Evaluation
- Speech and Language Evaluation
- Occupational Therapy Evaluation
- Physical Therapy Evaluation
- Audiological Assessment
- Vision
A member of the FIRST STEP team will accompany you to the initial conference at the Department of Education. At the meeting, an Individual Education Plan (IEP) will be developed for your child, determining what services her or she is eligible to receive. The FIRST STEP team member will be there to advocate for your child.
Just take that First Step and leave the rest to us!

By 3 Years of age does your child:
